Meet My Husband

Fun Facts About My Husband
  • If it were up to him, he would never wear a shirt
  • His feet are his 3rd and 4th hands and can pick things up or pinch me really hard
  • His pet peeve is when I say I don’t want any food and eat it anyways
  • He’s a people person and doesn’t get tired of talking to people all day long
  • Once he loves something you’ll be sure to hear about it, and he’ll try to convince you to love it too
  • His dream is to be a financial planner for an entire professional sports team
  • But started following a bunch of traveling pages and now thinks we should jet off for a year (thanks @bucketlistfamily)
  • Favorite food: sushi (If you ever want to hang out just mention sushi and we’ll be there!)
  • He's so cute to watch when he's around kids and they all love him
  • Favorite game right now: Settlers of Catan
  • His full name has 30 letters: Nicholas Christopher Lombardozzi

Nick is from a small town in Pennsylvania called Chambersburg. He grew up playing every sport you can think of, baseball, lacrosse, hockey, basketball and soccer. Since he’s such a people person, whatever sport all his friends were playing was the sport he was going to choose for that season. Ultimately, he chose lacrosse as his sport in college and played for Liberty’s club team. And that’s where I met him (but that’s a story for another time).

He is one of four siblings, with two older brothers and one younger sister. Since he’s third in the birth order and I’m first it has been fun to challenge each other with our different perspectives and he has taught me a lot about how to talk to my younger sisters through his experience with older brothers. There have been a few times where he says, “Cass you can’t say that to them”!

We are interested in personality tests and found that they help us to understand one another so our expectations can be set for how things or conversations will go around our home. For example, Nick is a huge ideas guy and comes up with really fun and outrageous things for us, but he lacks the follow through. Luckily he married a detailed person so I like to make his ideas happen and then we just go from there.

One of my favorite things about him is how positive he is, things don’t get him down and if they do then it takes less than an hour for him to bounce back and look at the situation from a different perspective. His attitude makes life fun because when one thing goes wrong he comes up with something better than what went wrong in the first place.

But my all time favorite thing about Nick is that he is a strong leader and is constantly pointing me towards Christ. It’s fun having someone to grow in my faith with and to learn from.
